Associate in Arts

YVCC Alum Lance Mendoza was very involved in campus life at YVCC. He was a member of Associated Students of Yakima Valley Community College, lived in the Student Residence Center, and participated in YVCC’s drama productions. He received the Meritorious Achievement Award from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region VII for his performance in YVCC’s production of Our Lady of 121st Street.

Would you recommend living in the dorms to others?

I would definitely recommend living in the dorms to anyone attending YVCC, because it provides you with a good place to not only get your studying done, but also allows you to be on campus; which enables you to save money. I think what’s also great about living in the dorms is that it really makes your college experience a lot more enjoyable. I’ve made many friends here and met people that I never would have met if I hadn’t lived on campus.
